Accessibility Statement

Thank you for your interest in the accessibility of our online presence.

We want everyone to be able to use our online shop without restrictions. That is why we are highly committed to digital accessibility and are constantly working to make our website accessible to everyone. For us, accessibility is a key part of actively promoting inclusion and creating a shopping experience that is truly for everyone.

We therefore endeavour to make our online presence accessible in accordance with the national implementation laws of Directive (EU) 2019/882.

This accessibility statement applies to: https://www.sonnentor.com/

1. General description of the service

We provide you with our online shop via the online presence. This is an electronic service within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2019/882 and its national transposition laws.

In our online shop you can:

  • Buy goods.
  • Purchase digital content. Digital content is a file made available online. In contrast to the purchase of physical products, you do not receive a physical object, but only a possibility of use. The exact conditions can be found in the terms and conditions and/or the respective product page.

2. Descriptions and explanations that are necessary to understand the performance of the service

You can initially place our products in the shopping basket without obligation via the product pages. You can correct your entries at any time before submitting your binding order. To do this, use the correction aids provided and explained in the order process. The payment methods specified in the order process are available for payment.

3. Description of the fulfilment of accessibility requirements

3.1 Application of harmonised standards and technical specifications

Our online presence complies

  • in parts to the Harmonised European Standard (EN) 301 549.
(EN) 301 549 entitled ‘Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services’ is a European standard for digital accessibility.
  • in parts to the Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in version: 2.2. It achieves level A and AA.
The WCAG are an international standard of accessibility guidelines. They are created and maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the committee for the standardisation of technologies on the Internet. The aim of the guidelines is to create structures for digital services that enable access and use for all people in terms of digital accessibility.

We know that there are still areas where we need to make improvements. That is why we are taking targeted measures to identify and remove existing barriers.

3.2 Measures to improve accessibility

  • We have been working intensively on the topic of accessibility since autumn 2023 in order to build up knowledge within the company. To this end, one of our employees completed a multi-day course on "Web accessibility - barrier-free web design" at the beginning of 2024.
  • We are currently conducting a comprehensive digital accessibility audit.
  • An action plan will be derived from this, which we will implement according to urgency.
  • We organise training courses for our teams - particularly in the areas of content creation, graphics and website management - to raise awareness and expertise in the area of accessibility.

4. Contact details - report a barrier

If you encounter any barriers on our website or in the shop or have any questions about accessibility, we look forward to hearing from you.
